Plot
Equatorial Guinea became independent from Spain 50 years ago and has now become one of the most unequal and isolated countries in Africa. We meet the country’s most translated author, Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel, who had to take refuge in Spain in 2011 for denouncing the dictatorship of Teodoro Obiang, the longest lasting in the world. Through his books, we take a trip into a corner of Africa that still lives under the impact of two centuries of colonial domination.
