Beyond the Glacier is a documentary film shot in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. It addresses the water conflict in Central Asia by analysing the complex future of the River Sir Daria that runs from the Tian Shan mountain range glaciers and crosses more than 3000 km to reach the fated Aral Sea. Through experts that have studied the case and people who live from the water, mainly fishermen, the documentary looks at how humans relate to the natural medium and analyses the future of the species in a context of geographic chaos.
